The Slavkov-Austerlitz Palace is a residential building currently located in the Czech Republic, and more precisely - in Moravia. The first castle on the site of the present palace was built in the 13th century and three centuries later it was rebuilt into a Renaissance-style residence. On the other hand, the reconstruction in the baroque spirit began at the end of the 17th century on the initiative of Dominik Ondrej, and the work was completed by his son - Wacław. The works were supervised and to a large extent carried out by Domenico Martinelli, who undoubtedly made the Slavkov-Austerlitz Palace one of the most beautiful, baroque residences in the then Habsburg monarchy. Sculptural elements (mainly in the Baroque style) were also made in a great way, for which Giovanni Giuliani was responsible. After 1945, the palace became the property of the Czechoslovak state, and now the city of Sławków is responsible for it. Since 2008, the chateau has been included in the Czech National Cultural Monument List.
