The Fiat 806 was an Italian race car from the interwar period. The car debuted on the track during the Grand Prix race in Milan in 1927. Its designers were Tranquillo Zerbi and Alberto Massimino. The vehicle was powered by a single 180hp Fiat 1500 engine, later limited to 160hp. The cart was 3.64 m long and 1.45 m wide. The curb weight of the car did not exceed 700 kilograms. The 806 was developed by a special design department of the Fiat concern with racing participation in mind. The new car was primarily to be able to challenge the Alfa Romeo cars (especially the P2 model), which at that time dominated the racing circuits of Italy. For this purpose, the Fiat 806 received, at that time, very modern technological solutions, not used in previous vehicles. The innovations concerned the engine, suspension, transmission and even the body structure. Finally, a car was created in some areas, ahead of the 1920s, which was able to accelerate to 240 km / h. Interestingly, however, the car took part in only one race - the Grand Prix in Milan in 1927, in which it outclassed the Bugatti and Alfa Romeo cars.
